Hey guys! I was just wondering what we should do for our final website and how we should go about putting it together!! Also, what do we each want to do for our last lesson plan/podcast/movie? I was thinking about doing a lesson on measurements. Let me know what you guys think?
Hey,
ReplyDeleteI can go ahead and start the website. We each need to add to it though, to get individual team points/full credit. I can also go ahead and do another podcast.
Mallory, I think a lesson on measurement would be a good idea.
I already did my lesson plan! I'll start doing stuff for it tomorrow seeings how I'm without a computer right now and have to do the podcast as soon as I get back tonight! :)

DeleteXochilt, are you going to create the gmail account then so we can beging the website or do you want me to do it?
DeleteI am about to create it right now.
ReplyDeleteI am about to create it right now.
ReplyDeleteHey ladies,
ReplyDeleteI think that they best thing to do right now is create a list for our navigation bar because the instructions say "At least 2 web pages for each student member of the team -- what you will need will be decided with the team to make your web site useful and easy to navigate." So I think it would be easier if we agreed on a list for our navigation bar and decided who would like to work on what page from there.
Let me know what you guys think.
Hey,
ReplyDeleteSo here is my list that I had in mind so far.
1. Home (this is have an introduction to our main project, what our website is all about and what (how) they students will be working)
2. What Baked Goods to Sell? (we can have my podcast in this one since I talked about how they are going to decide on the cupcakes and I can also include the virtual pen pal topic.
3. Cultural Awareness This can be all about having communication with their pen pals in spain, it will include the map, and the description we did in Google doc, etc.
4. Keeping Sanitary- this can include Mallory's lesson/podcast on keeping clean and food allergies, etc.
5. Parent Involvement- since we each have to create something new for our website I think I am going to create a powerpoint instead under this section. Like several ways to involve parents in our project.
Then maybe we can have one that says Advertising where the students would create their own flyers.
This is not exactly the order we have to have it in, this is just a rough draft.
Let me know what you guys think. What you guys would like to add or change.
If we have Advertising as one I did a lesson on having the students create flyers. That was my first lesson.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds good. I will do the keeping sanitary one since they are what I did my digital story and lesson on. I can do one on measurements relating to mathematics since I did a lesson on that one. We need a total of 7 pages since we have to do 2 pages each, and work collaboratively on the home page. So something like this?
ReplyDelete1. Home (team)
2. what baked goods to sell (Xochilt) (you can use my data lesson to add to your page here)
3. cultural awareness (Dana)(we can put our google map here/penpal)
4. keeping sanitary (Mal)
5. Parent Involvement (Dana)
6. Advertisement (Xochilt)
7. Measurement (Mal)
We can all add our lessons that we created where they fit best.
something like this?
yeah that sounds good to me! We also have to have the standards so I think that is best in the homepage maybe. We can have a last page be helpful website or sitemap. I'm thinking more sitemap.
ReplyDeleteI think the website looks really well laid out and it covers the information that we have covered in our lessons.
ReplyDeletewebsite is going well just putting the finishing touches on my two pages
ReplyDeleteDana, you still need to cite your pictures, some of your images on the prices change page are not working properly, your google map is not linked correctly, and you still need to upload your lesson plans, podcast, and digital story. We can not post our collaborative podcast until you complete your portion of it. If you need help let me know.
ReplyDeleteI was signed in under our group name, that last post was from Mallory.
ReplyDeleteI finally got my part of the podcast to go into an mp3 but the only way it would do that if it was my voice alone. I emailed it to you guys so you should have it now to put on the website. The two pages I created are my lesson plans do I need to create a link to my taskstream lesson plans?, Overall I think our website turned out really well.
ReplyDeleteI did upload my digital story also it is on one of the pages that is based of my lesson plans. I also copy and pasted the link of the google map under the cultural awareness page too. I hope you guys are seeing all this because it was showing on my computer.
ReplyDeleteFor the parent involvement portion I added something new to my lesson plans that included two activities for parents to do at home with the students. It was already added to each of the pages.
ReplyDeleteDana, your lesson plans on the website are suppose to linked to taskstream. You are suppose to go to taskstream and click on generate link, copy and paste that link and go to our website and hyperlink it. Go to mine and mallory's pages to see what I mean and use ours as an example of what you have to do.
ReplyDeleteYou also need to fix your "price change" page. It doesn't work. All the information should be on that one page, right now you have to where we have to click on a link in and it takes us to another page where we can see your all your information. I don't think it's suppose to be like that.
ReplyDeleteThe page should work now I just remade it I am not sure what happened to it, but it worked for me last night so it should be good to go. Overall I think that we did a really good job I am happy with how our website finally turned out I hope you guys feel the same.
ReplyDeleteIt feels so good to be done! GOOD work Team!!!!!!
